I was one of the early adopters of the Kindle Fire and really love this device. As an avid reader, I find Kindle books to be a great source for free and inexpensive reading material.

A lot of people do not know that you do not need to purchase a Kindle device in order to read Kindle books. There are free applications available for your personal computer, Android devices and IOS Apple iPhones and iPads that allow you to purchase and download Kindle books to your viewing device of choice.

I found this instructional video put together by Any Williams, a Kindle author, who explains where to find and how to use the free Kindle Reading apps.

You will need to set up a Kindle account in order to download the ebooks. If you already have an Amazon account, you can use that. You can also use the same account for multiple viewing devices. Amazon has a “Buy once, read everywhere” policy that allow you to download the same book to multiple devices using the same account. You can buy a book, and download it to your Kindle device, IPhone and PC, so you can read it on whichever device is most convenient.

For those who are not interested in paying for Kindle books, there are literally thousands of free books that can be downloaded from Amazon. Here is a link that lists over 500 free classic books that can be downloaded for free.

Free Popular Classics.

For a real adventure, here is a link that displays all free Kindle books. At the time of this writing, there are over 12,000 free books offered.

Free books and a free app to use to read them. It doesn’t get any better than that. Enjoy. 😀
